Shell Beach (Canouan)

12° 42.0′ N · 61° 19.4′ W · approximate

A secluded, curving cove on Canouan's south-east coast backed by green hills, with soft pale sand, the outer reef breaking offshore and Petite Martinique on the horizon - the quiet alternative to Godahl Beach.

Practical

Coordinate is approximate and uncertain: CaribJournal (2016) places Shell Beach on the south-east side of Canouan; the pin is on the south-east shoreline in the OpenStreetMap outline of Canouan (way 25023353), but the exact cove was not confirmed by any map source - treat it as an area marker. In 2016 it was reached by golf cart, kayak or boat from the Pink Sands Club resort with loungers and a beach bar; current facilities are unknown. The windward coast lies behind the barrier reef - do not try to bring a yacht in; visit by land from Charlestown or by dinghy only in calm conditions. Beaches in SVG are public, but road access through the northern resort estate is restricted (Wikipedia).
