Sainte-Luce Anchorage and Village
14° 27.9′ N · 60° 55.4′ W · approximate
An open roadstead off a lively fishing village west of Le Marin. Fishermen mend their pots on the front, and a string of small beaches runs west towards Le Diamant.
Practical
Position is approximate, derived just off the town front (Wikipedia town position, OSM shoreline). No pilot-guide depths could be verified. The coast here faces south, so it is a settled-trade-wind daytime or overnight stop, exposed to any southerly swell. Land on the beach by dinghy; no dedicated dinghy dock was found in the sources. Ashore are a Saturday market on the seafront (Lonely Planet), several pharmacies, bakeries and Superette Bacchus (OSM), and fuel from the road station (jerry cans). A 6.5 km coastal path runs west to the Trois-Rivières distillery.
Best for
A local-village stop between Le Marin and Le Diamant
Season
Settled trades; exposed to southerly swell
