Macaroni Beach (Mustique)

12° 52.8′ N · 61° 10.6′ W · approximate

Mustique's famous crescent of white sand on the Atlantic coast, backed by palms and thatched picnic gazebos; the Mustique Company calls it one of the top ten beaches in the world.

Practical

Position is the OpenStreetMap beach outline (way 486391640), approx. It is on the east (windward) side, about 1 km across the island from the Britannia Bay moorings; there is no anchorage off it - yachts must stay on the Britannia Bay moorings. Access for yacht visitors is restricted: Noonsite (Feb 2025) lists Macaroni as off limits to yacht visitors, and the island rules keep visitors within designated areas, so ask the Moorings Office (VHF 16/68) before going; when access is allowed it is usually by taxi or island tour, not on foot along private roads. The beach gazebos are booked by villa staff or the Cotton House for owners and guests. It faces north-east and YachtCharterFleet rates it (with Simplicity beach) for surfing and bodyboarding - Atlantic surf and currents can be strong; swim only in calm conditions.

Best for

Postcard Atlantic beach if visitor access is granted

Season
