Grand Anse Beach

12° 1.6′ N · 61° 45.4′ W · approximate

Grand Anse Beach is Grenada's signature beach: two miles of white sand curving from the Lagoon headland to Quarantine Point, backed by palms, sea grape, beach bars, dive shops and the Craft and Spice Market.

Practical

Position is the OpenStreetMap beach midpoint (approx). Anchoring is banned in Grand Anse Bay south of 12°02.05'N. Use the GAMPA moorings off Pandy Beach and dinghy in, landing carefully because the beach is narrow and eroded and swell can break at high tide (Wikivoyage). It is also reachable by Zone 1 minibus from St George's. Dive shops along the beach include Dive Grenada, Eco Dive and Aquanauts. Do not leave the dinghy unattended on the beach overnight.
