ARC Finish Line (Rodney Bay, December)

Each December the Atlantic Rally for Cruisers fleet crosses 2,700 nm from Las Palmas, Gran Canaria and finishes at Rodney Bay, filling IGY Rodney Bay Marina with ocean-crossing yachts, welcome parties and the final prizegiving.
Practical
Position set at IGY Rodney Bay Marina, the rally's Caribbean host (approx; the finish line itself is laid off the bay). World Cruising Club: ARC 2026 starts from Las Palmas on November 22, 2026, with prizegiving in St Lucia on December 19; ARC 2027 starts November 21, 2027 with prizegiving December 18. Around 150 boats take part (about 200 in some years); the average crossing is 18-21 days. If you are not in the rally, expect the marina and the anchorage to be crowded and berths hard to get in December; book early.
