Teague Bay & St Croix Yacht Club
17° 45.4′ N · 64° 36.2′ W · approximate
A reef-protected bay on the north shore of the East End, home of the St Croix Yacht Club (founded 1952) and its beachfront clubhouse, with Buck Island filling the view. Shallow-draft boats tuck in behind the long fringing reef.
Practical
Position approximate, between the OSM label for Tague Bay (17.7561 N, 64.6049 W) and the St Croix Yacht Club (17.7543 N, 64.6021 W), inside the reef. Coast Pilot: the bay is 0.7 mile wide between Tague Point and Romney Point and gives anchorage for light-draft vessels entering behind the reef through a break northeast of Tague Point; caution for strong surge currents; the yacht club has water and ice. The whole reef from Pull Point to East Point needs local knowledge; the marked entrance is at Coakley Bay (see Coakley Bay Reef Entrance). Teague Bay is a DPNR mooring/anchoring area inside the East End Marine Park recreational zone: hook-and-line fishing only from the beach out to 100 ft; personal watercraft allowed only between Cottongarden Point and Teague Point (GoToStCroix). The yacht club is private (marina 'members only', stcroixtourism.com) but offers a 30-day guest pass; email concierge@stcroixyc.com. Its storm plan runs Phase 1 readiness June 1 to November 30. Duggan's Reef restaurant is on the same beach.
