Puerto del Rey Boatyard

18° 17.2′ N · 65° 38.2′ W

Puerto del Rey's full-service yard, with a 150-ton travel lift and in-house trades from rigging to refrigeration, the biggest haul-out option on Puerto Rico's east coast.

Practical

Position is the marina office (Safe Harbor listing); the yard is on the same property. Travel lift 150 tons: maximum LOA 115 ft, beam 32 ft, draft 8 ft; haul-out for power, sail and catamarans plus strap-down service; crane and hoists; a self-service yard is allowed. Services listed: canvas, carpentry, detailing, electrical, electronics, engine and propulsion, fiberglass, hydraulics, mast and rigging, metalwork and welding, painting, plumbing, refrigeration and HVAC, and condition inspections; dealers include Caterpillar, Cummins, Mercury, Suzuki, Volvo and Yamaha. Hurricane season: Sail Caribe offers care for boats stored ashore here (owner books haul-out, storage and relaunch with the marina). A Noonsite commenter (August 2023) reported unbraced jack stands and worn tie-down rings for hurricane strapping and high contractor prices: inspect the storm setup yourself. Coast Pilot 5 (older data) gives the lift as 100 tons. Book ahead before June.
