Point Udall
17° 45.4′ N · 64° 34.0′ W
The easternmost point of the United States by travel, crowned by the Millennium Monument sundial that marks the azimuth of the first US sunrise of the year 2000.
Practical
Coordinate from GoToStCroix's listing (OSM puts the monument at 17.7559 N, 64.5672 W). Free; a popular sunrise spot, especially on New Year's morning, and good for stargazing (GoToStCroix). Named in 1969 for Interior Secretary Stewart Udall. From the water, the Coast Pilot's East Point is the bluff here, with Morne Rond (380 ft) as a conspicuous round hill. Reached by road (Route 82); the Jack and Isaac Bays trail starts just before it.
