A clear-water sand anchorage just south of four islets, about 2 nm west of Ao Nang, with a dinghy trip up the river behind the bar to sandy beaches.
Practical
Southeast Asia Pilot waypoint 08°02.308N 98°47.797E. Anchor in about 4-5 m on sand; the water is clear enough to see the shallows. Excellent overnight in the NE monsoon. For the river, keep near the western shore at the entrance to cross the bar; it deepens inside. The east-side jetty is the transit point for Centara Grand Beach Resort guests and staff. Local food stalls line the west-bank road, which leads to the main road to Krabi Town and Ao Nang.
