Kai Bae Viewpoint

12° 1.0′ N · 102° 17.5′ E · approximate

The roadside lookout south of Kai Bae, with the classic Koh Chang view: green headlands and a scatter of four islets set in turquoise water.

Practical

Thai National Parks places it south of Kai Bae beach on the west coast, a short walk from the main road, with no fee listed. The coordinate is the observation tower OpenStreetMap maps on the headland south of Kai Bae (labelled 'Lighthouse Scenic Point'); it is assumed to be the same lookout. Go late afternoon for the light.
