From about May to October the south-east trades blow 15–25 knots, peaking in July and August, and decide where you can sleep on Praslin.
Practical
Use Anse Lazio, Anse Volbert, Baie Ste Anne, St Pierre (buoys) and Round Island (The Moorings SE-season routes; koek.sc). Swell up to about 2.5 m on the Mahé–Praslin crossing in peak trades. Night sailing banned on charter boats; anchor an hour before sunset.
