From about December to March the wind swings north-west, lighter but wetter, flipping which Praslin bays are safe.
Practical
North-facing bays (Anse Lazio, Anse Volbert in northerly swell, St Pierre) become exposed; Baie Ste Anne gets an uncomfortable cross-swell and can be untenable in strong NW conditions (koek.sc). The Moorings NW-season routes move to Curieuse Baie Laraie and La Digue. koek.sc notes superyachts fill Praslin and La Digue anchorages from about 20 December to 5 January.
