Frégate Rat-Free Boat Licence
4° 35.2′ S · 55° 56.4′ E
Any boat landing at Frégate needs a rat-free licence: the island has been rodent-free since 2001 and is home to species, like the giant tenebrionid beetle, that rats would wipe out.
Practical
Wikipedia: 'anybody wishing to visit the island by boat must produce a rat free license'. No issuing office, fee or procedure is published; the island website says access is reserved exclusively for island guests, so a private yacht should assume it cannot land. In practice: arrange any visit with the island management and your charter base before sailing; never come alongside the island harbour uninvited; check the dinghy, bags and provisions for stowaways before any authorised landing; land no food, plants or soil; never land at an unauthorised beach. See 'Frégate Standoff and Nearest Anchorage' for where to stop instead.
