Alphonse Island Lodge
7° 0.4′ S · 52° 43.7′ E
The only resort in the Alphonse Group, opened in 1999 and owner-operated by Blue Safari since 2013: 22 beach bungalows, five beach villas and two four-bedroom retreats, with Creole and international food using produce from the island garden.
Practical
IDC says other visitors besides fishing guests are welcomed, but landing and any meal must be arranged in advance with the lodge (reservations@bluesafari.com, +248 422 9700) and IDC. In 2019 Alphonse got the first solar farm in the outer islands, and solar now supplies about 98% of its power (Divernet 2018). IDC flights from Mahé land on the 1,220 m airstrip (FSAL). Coordinate is the island centroid from OpenStreetMap.
