Tubod Marine Sanctuary

9° 8.5′ N · 123° 30.6′ E

Siquijor's most accessible reef: a 7-hectare sanctuary set up in 1989 in front of the San Juan resorts, with coral gardens and a turtle cleaning station where three to five green turtles usually rest by day.

Practical

Position: the sanctuary entrance on the circumferential road (OpenStreetMap/Nominatim); the reef is just offshore. Shore or boat entry, 5-30 m, beginner level; shallows at 5-12 m are ideal for snorkellers (philippinedives.com, 2026). Fees (2026): PHP 100 snorkelling, PHP 150 diving with a camera. All Siquijor sanctuaries close for three days after each new moon to protect spawning fish, and night diving needs special arrangement. Nearby Maite Sanctuary is the mandarinfish dusk dive.
