Tilik Port Anchorage (Lubang)
13° 49.3′ N · 120° 12.2′ E · approximate
The working harbour of Lubang Island and the usual first stop for yachts dropping south from Manila Bay or Subic toward Mindoro and Coron. A small Spanish-era bastion guards the entrance, and the island's main settlements, market and airstrip are a tricycle ride away.
Practical
Position approx: OSM 'Tilik Port' natural=bay label (the ferry terminal is at 13.81600N 120.20182E per OSM); no cruising guide we found publishes a surveyed anchor spot, depth or holding - sound your way in and anchor clear of the ferry approach. A charter itinerary (Pina Yacht Charter) uses Tilik Port as the overnight stop on the Manila to Lubang leg, with a town visit and an afternoon tender trip along the coast to a beach for swimming and reef viewing. Straight-line distance to Manila Yacht Club about 64 NM and to Punta Fuego (Nasugbu) about 29 NM (computed). Sail The Philippines: 'good anchorages around most of Lubang's coast'. Wikipedia: Tilik is where most of the population lives; the Spanish-built San Vicente Bastion stands on the western point of its entrance; Lubang town is about 11 km north-west; Looc municipality runs a separate port at Barangay Agkawayan. Lubang Community Airport (OSM) is near Lubang town. Lubang is part of Occidental Mindoro province. No fuel dock or chandlery documented - top up at Puerto Galera, Subic or Mamburao. Check a current chart for reefs off the entrance.
