Puerto Princesa Bay Dolphin and Whale Watching
9° 42.3′ N · 118° 46.2′ E · approximate
A community-run boat trip into Puerto Princesa Bay to look for long-snouted spinner dolphins and, on lucky days, whales, run by the Barangay Tulingan fishermen's association to support conservation of the bay.
Practical
Position approximate: plotted in the outer bay about 2 km south of the Bancao-Bancao light (OpenStreetMap) to mark the general watching area, not a fixed site. Arrange in advance with the operator listed by the City Tourism Office (Ms. Marites Sabanal, 0918-785-9617). Tricycle to the departure point about PHP 50. Early morning gives the calmest water. If you are on your own boat, keep clear of pods and do not chase.
