9° 29.9′ N · 123° 55.2′ E · approximate
Drift dives on slopes covered in soft coral, tunicates and big gorgonians, with barracuda and Spanish mackerel. Dakit-Dakit is the best-known site, where reefs once damaged by dynamite fishing are recovering.
Practical
Position approx: placed off the north-west side of the island, where philippinedives.com puts the marine sanctuary; we found no surveyed site coordinates. Depths 12-35 m, Advanced Open Water; currents are stronger than at Balicasag (philippinedives.com, 2026). Dakit-Dakit is named by Wikipedia and Wikivoyage. 'Snake Island' (Cervera Shoal), a sunken plateau about 18 m deep west of Pamilacan in open water, has very strong current, banded sea snakes and turtles (Wikipedia).
