Pamilacan Island Anchorage

9° 29.6′ N · 123° 54.9′ E · approximate

A day stop off the west side of Pamilacan, the small island south of Baclayon known for dolphin watching, white-sand beaches and a 200-year-old Spanish watchtower.

Practical

Position approx: placed about 1 km west of the island's centre (OSM 9.4928N 123.9242E) and checked as open water on the OpenStreetMap base map, where the map shows the fringing reef ending about 600 m out. We found no published yacht anchorage, depth or holding for Pamilacan. The island sits in the open Bohol Sea with deep water close in and strong currents (philippinedives.com, 2026), so treat it as a settled-weather day stop, anchor only on sand clear of coral, or pick up a local mooring if a boatman offers one. Keep off the marine sanctuary on the north-west side. The lighthouse is at 9.4961N 123.9220E (OSM). Pamilacan is a barangay of Baclayon with about 1,418 people (2015); go ashore to see the watchtower on the north-east side.
