11° 8.0′ N · 119° 19.0′ E

Rock formations and swim-throughs beneath the limestone cliffs of Paglugaban, a small island south of Miniloc that shelters delicate soft corals and nudibranchs.

Practical

Position: Paglugaban Island (OpenStreetMap way 4247211). Depth 8-25 m, intermediate (Philippine Dives); nudibranch peak December-February, turtles and eagle rays, with occasional manta and dugong reports. Palawan Divers places it among Miniloc's southern neighbours, about 45 minutes by boat from El Nido. Dive with an operator; no anchoring on coral. Palawan Divers: 5-35 m (slope continues past 40 m), moderate current, multiple swim-throughs between soft-coral-covered boulders at the island's corner; crocodilefish, octopus, eagle rays and ghost pipefish possible. A Lakwatsero dive with Palawan Divers (around 2010) anchored in about 6 m on the southwest side and stayed above 22 m.
