Pabellones Islands (Taytay Bay)

10° 52.8′ N · 119° 37.5′ E

A cluster of sheer limestone islets near the mouth of Taytay Bay, alongside Elephant Island, a protected nesting site for swiftlets ('swallows') whose nests are harvested for soup.

Practical

Position: Pabellones Islands (OpenStreetMap node 302026733). Elephant Island lies just north at 10.8963, 119.6210 (OSM way 68588280); Wikivoyage lists 'Elephant and Castle Island (protected as a nesting site for swallows)'. Swiftlet-nest islands are guarded - do not land without permission. No published anchorage; deep water close to the cliffs is typical of these karst islets but sound in.
