Panglao town's public market, by the church and watchtower on the island's south-west, is the place for fresh fish, fruit and vegetables at local prices.

Position from OpenStreetMap (Mercado de Panglao, on the Dauis-Panglao Road). OSM maps a Petron station opposite (9.5799N 123.7494E), a Park n' Go bakery and another bakeshop nearby. A smaller open market, Sapa Bolod Mini Market, is on the circumferential road at Bolod (OSM, 9.5620N 123.8008E). Go early in the morning for fish. The town is about 4 km by tricycle from Alona Beach. Hours not published: verify locally.
