Mariveles Harbor Anchorage
14° 25.5′ N · 120° 29.8′ E · approximate
A large sheltered cove at the southern tip of the Bataan Peninsula, just inside the north channel into Manila Bay. Spanish and Chinese ships resupplied here for centuries, and it is the natural stop between Subic and Manila.
Practical
Coordinates approximate: mid-harbour between Mariveles town (OSM 14.4356°N 120.4903°E) and the Sisiman Cove lighthouse. Depth and holding are not documented in the sources found; this is a working port with the Freeport Area of Bataan industrial zone on its shore, so keep clear of commercial berths. Wikipedia describes the bay as a large cove with a sheltered inlet. A ferry runs Mariveles-Manila in about 40 minutes. Ashore: Jollibee, 7-Eleven, Big Save supermarket, a water-refilling station and a G Fuel station (OSM). The PGYC West Luzon notes suggest anchoring in the mouth of Manila Bay at Mariveles Port and taking a day tour of Corregidor.
