Sitio Talipanan, an Iraya Mangyan community at the foot of Mt Malasimbo, where weavers make baskets, trays and mats from nito vine and sell them to visitors.

Position: OSM 'Mangyan Village' next to Talipanan Mangyan School. Ayala Foundation organised the community from 1989 with education, housing, health and livelihood projects; weaving uses nito vine (and some buri palm) (Langyaw). Visitors reach it by tricycle from Talipanan/White Beach; the dirt road ends before a bamboo bridge (Langyaw). PGYC: Mangyan still live a traditional lifestyle in the hills and visit town to sell woven abaca items. Buy direct - no entrance fee documented; be respectful with photos.
