Lagen Island West Cove Anchorage (off Lagen Resort)
11° 5.7′ N · 119° 23.1′ E · approximate
The small cove on Lagen's west side where El Nido Resorts' Lagen Island Resort sits behind a fringe of forest-clad limestone - a sheltered lunch or overnight stop in the south of Bacuit Bay.
Practical
Approx: plotted about 300 m off the resort (OpenStreetMap node 4946449209 at 11.0941, 119.3892) in the cove indent on the west coast, checked in the water against the OSM coastline. Speedwell Adventures anchored on Lagen's west coast and found it sheltered but hit by regular williwaws (strong gusts dropping off the cliffs) - set the anchor well and leave room to swing. Southeast Asia Pilot lists Lagen as a daytime anchoring destination from Corong-Corong for diving and snorkelling. No published depth for this cove; sound in before dropping and keep off the coral fringe. The resort is private (guests arrive by 30-minute boat transfer from Lio Airport) and El Nido Resorts bans drones across Lagen - ask before landing a dinghy. Lagen sits inside the El Nido-Taytay Managed Resource Protected Area: Eco-Tourism Development Fee applies.
