Pin is the Del Carmen Mangrove Protection Center at the port (OSM), the jump-off; the forest stretches along the coast. Del Carmen LGU: 4,871 ha as of 2018, about 500 m wide; won the Best Mangrove Award; habitat of Crocodylus porosus. Wikipedia notes a 14 ft 9 in crocodile found dead in 2016. Do not swim in the mangrove channels. Tours by banca from the port; OSM also maps a mangrove boardwalk nearby.
