Dalaruan Bay Anchorage
13° 30.9′ N · 120° 57.8′ E
The easternmost of Puerto Galera's inner bays, just inside the Batangas (North) Channel - one of the two places inside the harbour where yachts are allowed to anchor. Quieter than Muelle, with the PGYC service boat calling at its own small mooring group.
Practical
Position: OSM 'Dalaruan Cove' feature. Noonsite and PGYC: anchoring permitted in Dalaruan Bay, but take great care not to damage protected corals and the indigenous giant clams - drop on sand. The PGYC service boat visits the four Dalaruan Bay moorings twice a day (Noonsite listing). The east end of the Batangas Channel power cables lands at Barangay Dalaruan - approach from inside the harbour via the Manila Channel if your mast exceeds about 40 ft. A ship-repair yard on Dalaruan Beach is one of the few places beach haul-outs are allowed in the marine protected area (PGYC). Depth and holding not published - sound your spot.
