Camotes Santiago Bay Anchorage
10° 35.1′ N · 124° 18.2′ E
A white-sand bay on the south coast of Pacijan with resorts along the beach - the easiest Camotes anchorage to enter, and comfortable when the NE monsoon is blowing.
Practical
RCC/Plainsong (2025): 10°35.1'N 124°18.2'E, easy approach. The bay is now divided by a line of buoys running south from the beach; anchor on the WEST side of the buoys (the older SCS pilot spot is now on the wrong side). Sand and coral; some swell, comfortable in calm conditions but exposed to the south - leave in the SW monsoon. Arnak (2012) logged 10°35.10'N 124°18.10'E off the beach and resort. Dugong have been seen here. Good cell reception. Resorts and beach restaurants ashore; scooters for hire to tour the islands (about 300-500 PHP per day, verify locally).
Best for
NE-monsoon anchorage with a resort beach
Season
Best Nov-Apr (NE monsoon); exposed to S and SW
