Boayan Island Anchorage

10° 34.6′ N · 119° 9.7′ E

Boayan Island and its satellites offer a dozen decent anchorages in either monsoon; SEAP's favourite is the large, protected, north-facing hook-shaped bay with a privately owned house at its eastern end.

Practical

Good holding on sand in 10 m (Southeast Asia Pilot). Protected north-facing bay; pick another of the many Boayan anchorages if swell runs in. The unpopulated islands around here often have a minefield of fishing nets and pots: keep watch and do not sail at night. No services.

Best for

A remote, sheltered night just north of Port Barton
