Alona Beach Restaurants and Bars

9° 32.9′ N · 123° 46.3′ E · approximate

The densest strip of restaurants and bars in Bohol: a few dozen beachfront places serving mostly international food at mid-to-high prices, many of them more bar than restaurant, with live music most evenings.

Practical

Position approx: the Wikivoyage marker for the Alona Beach area. Expect chain outlets (McDonald's, Dunkin' Donuts) alongside resort restaurants. Cheaper Filipino 'carinderia' food is in Panglao and Dauis towns. Dive centres on the beach (for example Reef Seekers, Piratas, Pata Negra, listed by Wikivoyage in 2018) book Balicasag and Pamilacan trips and dawn dolphin boats, which need booking a day ahead. Beach massages were PHP 350 an hour (Wikivoyage, undated; verify locally). Wikivoyage warns against using cards at one beachfront money changer after reports of card fraud; use bank ATMs.
