The only travel-lift yard on the Mexican Caribbean coast between Cancún and Puerto Aventuras that is set up for visiting yachts. It sits on Laguna Makax inside Puerto Isla Mujeres, so you can haul for bottom paint or repairs without leaving the island.

Lift capacity: the infrastructure page lists a 150-ton travel lift, while the shipyard page describes a crane of up to 150 tons. Access is through a canal 29 ft wide, so check your beam. The yard holds about 14 boats for maintenance and repair plus about 12 in dry storage. Listed services: general and specialized painting, fiberglass, carpentry, mechanics, welding, pressure washing, engine alignment and balancing, and propeller repair. The fuel dock (diesel and gasoline) is next door. The site gives no rates and no DIY policy. Ask the marina office whether you may work on your own boat, and get a written quote; prices verify locally. The marina's ships' agent can also handle customs and immigration.
