Playa Conchas Chinas
20° 35.5′ N · 105° 14.7′ W
A string of small sand coves and rock pools just south of Los Muertos, a quieter swim spot and one of the shore-side places to watch humpbacks breaching in winter.
Practical
Coordinate from Wikipedia. Banderas News lists Conchas Chinas, Los Muertos and Punta Negra among the southern beaches where whale breaches, flipper slaps and blows are often seen from shore in January and February. Rocky; land by dinghy only in calm conditions. Avoid swimming near river mouths in the rainy season (crocodile advisories).
Best for
Shore-side whale watching and a quiet swim
