21° 30.8′ N · 105° 15.0′ W
A seaside palapa on Playa Las Islitas at the north-west end of Matanchén Bay, serving regional seafood. Order the camarones a la momia, shrimp wrapped in bacon and grilled.
Practical
Open daily 10 am to 6 pm. Mains were about MX$250 (Wikivoyage, undated; verify locally). It's one of the beach palapas where Matanchén anchorage crews land and leave the dinghy while they eat. Watch the surf when you launch, as it builds in the afternoon. Pescado zarandeado grilled over mangrove wood is the local specialty along this beach. Coordinate from the OpenStreetMap node (which matches the Wikivoyage listing).
Best for
Lunch ashore from the Matanchén anchorage
