Las Islitas Surf (Matanchén)
21° 30.8′ N · 105° 15.0′ W
The point break on Matanchén Bay listed by Guinness as the world's longest surfable wave (5,700 ft), with rides of a quarter to half a mile common on a good south swell. Palapa restaurants line the beach.
Practical
Rent boards in San Blas or at the beach restaurants. Other breaks are Stoners on the outer point of Matanchén Bay and Lolas, reachable by panga from the San Blas waterfront. Mysis III palapa restaurant on Playa Las Islitas is open 10 am–6 pm daily (Wikivoyage). The same southwest swells that make the surf also make the San Blas bar and the Matanchén anchorage dangerous or rolly. Coordinate is Mysis III restaurant (Wikivoyage).
