The big-box strip along Boulevard Miguel de la Madrid in Salagua: Walmart Supercenter, Soriana Híper, La Comer and Home Depot within a few blocks — the best provisioning between Puerto Vallarta and Zihuatanejo.
Practical
Position: Walmart Supercenter (OpenStreetMap); Soriana Híper is about 700 m east and La Comer (the former Comercial Mexicana) about 200 m west. From Las Hadas walk through the Barceló Karmina golf course to the main road, or take a bus marked 'Las Hadas' / 'Sierra' toward the peninsula and 'Com. Mex' or 'Commercial' toward the shopping strip; fares are a few pesos and buses run about every 10 minutes except during siesta (older Noonsite note; verify locally). Hardware stores (ferreterías) are plentiful, and propane refills are available downtown. Banks and ATMs line the boulevard.
