Malecón de La Paz
24° 9.7′ N · 110° 19.1′ W
La Paz's 5 km seafront promenade is the city's living room - sunset walks, sculptures including a giant oyster with its pearl, ice-cream shops, bars and the stage for Carnaval.
Practical
Position: the Muelle Fiscal (municipal pier) on the Malecón in OpenStreetMap, where the API office is and where dinghies from the Malecón anchorage often land. Car rentals, the Malecón bus station (buses and shuttles to Cabo and Pichilingue) and the Tuesday and Saturday organic farmers' market (Rosales at Malecón, 8:00 am to about noon-3:00 pm) are all along it. Club Cruceros notes dinghies left on Malecón beaches are not guaranteed secure.
Best for
Evening stroll and town access from the anchorage
