Coordinate is approximate (marina complex). All boats in the marina check in with the Port Captain; yachts at anchor hail the office on VHF 16 to announce arrival and ask whether to come in (Noonsite, 2019). Clearing in and out requires personal attendance; reviewers call it fast and friendly (noforeignland). No dinghy-dock fee is charged if you are only visiting the Port Captain. Moving between ports inside the bay (La Cruz, Nuevo Vallarta, Puerto Vallarta) has historically required checking in and out at each. International departures: clear out domestically here, then get the international zarpe from the Nuevo Vallarta Port Captain (see that entry). Procedures change; confirm with the office or the marina.
