Guaymas Port of Entry

27° 54.3′ N · 110° 51.9′ W

Sonora's principal commercial port and an official first port of entry, operated by the Administración Portuaria Integral (API) de Guaymas — where cruisers arriving from abroad on the mainland side clear in.

Practical

Coordinate is the harbour entrance from Noonsite (27°54.30'N 110°51.85'W). Clearance: immigration (FMM), customs and the port captain; San Carlos is not a port of entry, but its marinas can handle local clearance. Commercial ships require ETA messages and compulsory pilotage — small yachts call the port captain on VHF 16. Ferry service to Santa Rosalía was suspended during COVID and, as of 2022, had no plans to resume (other sources still mention a ferry) — verify. Office hours are weekday business hours — verify locally.
