20° 18.0′ N · 87° 1.8′ W · approximate

Practical

Coordinate is approximate: the site is named for the adjacent Laguna Colombia at the south end of the island; placed on the southwest shelf edge west of the lagoon, close to the Cozumel Reefs National Park reference point - not a published dive-site position, confirm with your operator. Colombia Wall/Deep: over 100 ft per PADI (2022), 50-82 ft per SSI, 70-80 ft per Island Life Mexico (2026); pillars, caverns, barracuda, eagle rays and turtles; intermediate to advanced. Colombia Shallows: 15-50 ft, gentle drift, lobsters, octopus, nurse sharks - good first drift dive. Inside the national park: dive with a licensed operator; park fee 255 pesos (April 2026).
