Through the winter the La Paz cruisers' club runs a steady social calendar - a Welcome Back potluck, a party for the arriving Baja Ha-Ha fleet, holiday potlucks, Three Kings Day and St. Patrick's dinner - that turns the anchorage into a community.
Practical
Coordinate is approximate: placed at Marina de La Paz (clubhouse). Club Cruceros events page lists: Welcome Back Pot Luck (late October, clubhouse); Welcome Baja Ha-Ha Party (November 21, La Costa); Christmas Eve and New Year's Eve pot lucks (December 24 and 31); Three Kings Day (January 6, clubhouse); Charity Beach Party (late January, La Costa); St. Patrick's Day dinner; BayFest (early April). Also monthly board meetings, swap meets, pancake breakfasts and impromptu fish fries, plus occasional sailboat races, boat parades and beach potlucks at the Magote. Everyone is welcome; costs vary by event - check the 8:00 am VHF 22A net.
