Cabo Falso

22° 52.3′ N · 109° 57.8′ W

The true south-west corner of Baja, where the skeleton-tower Cabo Falso light stands just east of the restored 1905 lighthouse, Faro Viejo - the turning mark from the Pacific into Bahía San Lucas.

Practical

Cape position from OpenStreetMap; The Log gives Cabo Falso Light at 22 52.7' N 109 57.6' W and OSM maps the old Faro Cabo Falso (Faro Viejo) building at 22.874 N 109.964 W. From here it is still 4.5 nm east to Land's End. Southbound from Cabo San Lázaro, lay a course to a point about 4 nm off Cabo Falso; heavy following seas build where the Magdalena Shelf ends near Todos Santos. Northbound, The Log advises waiting in Cabo for a forecast lull long enough to cover the 170 nm to Mag Bay - there is no shelter between.
