Bahía de los Ángeles Pemex (Fuel by Jerry Can)

28° 57.5′ N · 113° 33.6′ W

The only fuel between Santa Rosalía and San Felipe for most boats: two Pemex road stations at the entrance to the village, reached with jerry cans from the beach.

Practical

Coordinate from OpenStreetMap (Pemex, a few hundred metres inland behind the village beach; a second Pemex at 28.9587 N, 113.5621 W). Wikivoyage: two Pemex stations at the entrance of town; the next station north is El Rosario, 292 km away. There is no fuel dock — land the dinghy at Guillermo's beach north of the launch ramp or the long beach by Mercado Isla (Online Cruising Guide), then carry or taxi jugs; time landings with the 10+ ft tide or you will drag the dinghy across mudflats (Club Cruceros: at low tide drag it to the sea wall). Prices: verify locally. Cash pesos; no ATM in town (the nearest is Santa Rosalía).

Best for

Topping up diesel and gasoline in the north
