Sainte-Anne Anchorage

16° 13.2′ N · 61° 23.1′ W · approximate

The bay off Sainte-Anne's town beach on Grande-Terre's south coast - a lively seaside town with a market, bakeries and restaurants on the waterfront, halfway between Pointe-a-Pitre and Saint-Francois.

Practical

Coordinate approx: about 280 m off the Plage du Bourg (OSM way 54890285), checked as open water but not checked against the reef - approach only in good light with a current chart, as the south coast of Grande-Terre is fringed with coral. A Noonsite comment notes a self-service laundry in the village. The Sainte-Anne market (OSM way 10281007411) and a Thursday night market at Vallette (6pm-10pm, node 6041597009) are ashore. Exposed to south-east swell.
