Port de Marigot Capitainerie (Clearance)

18° 4.1′ N · 63° 5.2′ W

French-side clearance is now online, but the Marigot Port Authority in the ferry terminal is where you pay for a mooring ball - and Marina Fort Louis next door handles in-person clearance.

Practical

Procedure (2026): complete the free online declaration at demarche.numerique.gouv.fr before or on arrival; you receive a receipt and a stamped clearance document by email - no wet stamp is needed on Saint-Martin. Clear out the same way (duplicate your file, update departure details) within about 24 hours of leaving. Kiosk terminals ('bornes') at Ile Marine and other chandleries and in-person service at Marina Fort Louis remain options; clearance fees generally EUR 5-15 when paid through these, valid up to three months. Port office hours 9:00 am-11:30 am and 2:00 pm-4:00 pm. Bound for St Barths (which requires a wet stamp)? Clear out at Anse Marcel instead. Anchoring fees charged by the Port Authority apply to commercial vessels only.
