Plage de la Feuillere

15° 53.3′ N · 61° 13.4′ W

Capesterre's reef-sheltered lagoon beach on the southeast coast - one of the largest and loveliest on the island, with shallow turquoise water inside the barrier reef, snorkelling and kitesurfing.

Practical

Position is the beach polygon (OSM). The lagoon is protected by a barrier reef with small to medium waves on the reef depending on conditions (tourist office). Snorkel inside the lagoon - on the windward coast, don't stray beyond it and beware waves in rough seas. Kitesurfing is practised here; bring your own gear. Dantana Beach restaurant is on the sand. Reached overland (car/scooter/bus) from Saint-Louis or Grand-Bourg - this is the Atlantic side, not a yacht anchorage.
