Kuki'o Beach
19° 49.5′ N · 156° 0.1′ W
A rocky-edged sandy shoreline on Kuki'o Bay fronting the Hualalai resort, north of Kikaua Point, with public shoreline parking, showers and frequent basking turtles; better for a walk, fishing or a calm-day snorkel than a swim.
Practical
Coordinate is the Kukio Bay point in OpenStreetMap. Public parking is reached through the Hualalai resort gate near Highway 19 mile marker 87; spaces are limited, especially on weekends. Restrooms, showers and drinking water near the lot. Shoreline rocks make entry tricky; best entry is at the south end near Kikaua through a small opening in the rocks. No lifeguards; winter waves can be big (To-Hawaii.com).
Best for
Turtle-watching walk and calm-day snorkel
