Kikaua Point Beach Park
19° 49.1′ N · 156° 0.0′ W
A small, rock-sheltered lagoon of white sand at Kuki'o, just south of Kua Bay, with a grassy park, showers and calm, clear water that suits children and beginner snorkelers; turtles often rest on the sand.
Practical
Position from OpenStreetMap (Kikaua Point Beach). Public access is through the Kuki'o resort gate off Highway 19, where you collect a free parking pass; passes are limited to the number of spaces, so arrive early. Short paved path to the beach; restrooms, showers and drinking water; no lifeguards; beach closes a half hour after sunset (To-Hawaii.com). Keep clear of turtles. A dinghy run from Kua Bay is about half a mile south, but landing is through rocks, so use only in calm conditions.
Best for
Calm lagoon swim and easy snorkel
Season
Year round; best when calm
