Souvala Harbour
37° 46.4′ N · 23° 29.3′ E
An often-overlooked mini harbour on Aegina's north coast, the island's capital and main port until 1826, with tavernas lining the beach.
Practical
The usable part of the mole (3–4 m) is only a few boat lengths long — go alongside or bows/stern-to near the red light; a 2020 reviewer found little room inside and doubted the 4 m figure. Good shelter except in strong northerlies; good holding in sand. Fuel and water listed; supermarket by the beach. Shortest access to Paleochora — about a 1-hour hike through semi-wooded country — and on to the Agios Nektarios Monastery.
Best for
Quiet north-coast night and the hike to Paleochora
