Megalochori (Mylos) Harbour (Agistri)

37° 42.8′ N · 23° 20.8′ E

The only proper yacht harbour on pine-green Agistri — a small village port where you can see the sandy bottom through clear water, with good tavernas a few steps from the quay.

Practical

Excellent shelter except in strong NE–SE winds (SE is rare; Noforeignland reviewers report it choppy in strong ESE). Room for about 12 boats: go stern-to the breakwater or mole, or alongside the pontoon/jetty. Two ground chains lie across the centre of the harbour — go alongside where possible. The south-facing breakwater is the fishing fleet's, and its end (green light) is reserved for ferries; the south pier is sometimes usable but watch for water taxis. Approach and harbour are shallow but the sand-and-weed bottom is clearly visible. VHF 12. Water, power and fuel listed. Arrive early — it fills fast. 21 nm from Alimos.

Best for

A green-island harbour night off the beaten Aegina track

Season
