HORC Offshore Racing Season (Hydra Race & Athens Trophy)
37° 56.1′ N · 23° 39.0′ E · approximate
The Hellenic Offshore Racing Club, founded in Piraeus in 1961, runs Greece's main offshore racing programme — it opens each season with the Hellenic Revolution Race to Hydra around 25 March and runs the Athens Trophy for ORC boats in spring.
Practical
Position approx: placed at Zea, Piraeus, as a nominal Athens base; HORC's address and start lines are not on its site. The Hydra race has run since 1973 (53rd edition 27–29 March 2026). The Athens Trophy is part of the Athens Sailing Circuit, sailed windward-leeward for ORC Performance yachts. HORC also runs the Aegean Rally (since 1964), the Posidonia Cup and the Aegean 600. Expect crowded harbours at Hydra on race weekend. Check horc.gr for notices of race.
